How to Get Recruited at WWCC

Fill-out a recruit form at http://secure.wwcc.wy.edu/soccer/soccerform.htm

2) Get seen by the coaching staff in action (either by video or in person)
Videos could be game film or even you just talking about yourself and the chance to see you in action.

3) Fill-out all necessary paperwork (realize none of this paperwork obligates you to come to WWCC)
a) Apply for admissions (It is free and does not require you to attend WWCC)

b) Check for additional Financial Aid

c) Complete the FAFSA (this is needed to get any financial aid from any school)

d) Apply for WWCC housing (Again this does not obligate you in any means to the school just starts the process)

4) After seeing you in action (film or in person) and after you have started some of your paperwork the coaching staff will decide to;

a) Offer you a scholarship

b) Ask you to walk-on to the team (no scholarship)

c) Inform you that there will not be a place on the team for you.

2009 Signees

The Western Wyoming Men's Soccer team is pleased to announce the following players have officially signed;

Phillip Angerhofer - Phillip is from South Jordan UT and a Bingham High graduate. He will play as a defender for the Mustangs in the future and may be used in the center or on the outsides. He has a ton of experience and a competitive spirit that will help him succeed.

Josh Beck - A center midfielder from West Valley City UT. Josh had a stellar career while at Hunter High School. Josh will be looked at to score from the midfield and to also control and possess the ball. Josh is a transfer student from SLCC.

Logan Bailey - Logan is a defender from Casper WY and a Natrona County High graduate. Logan played as an outside defender in high school and probably will be asked to assume the same role at WWCC. Logan was a 1st team All-Region player last season, he also helped lead his team to a Region title and a State-runners-up finish.

Brandon Bushman - A forward from South Jordan UT and Bingham High School. Brandon is a hardworking forward that we will look for to score some goals and put big pressure on the opposition's back line. (Brandon in blue jersey)

Chris Byers - Chris will be a returning sophomore to WWCC. Last season Chris had 2 goals, 2 assists and 7 starts. He played both as a defender and as a midfielder. He will be asked to take the same kind of role this season for WWCC. He has vast experience winning games and his presence again this season will help out the Mustangs.

Oscar Delgado - A keeper and forward who lives in Big Piney WY. Oscar played soccer in high school at Pinedale High. Oscar will be used most likely at both positions on the field when he starts his career as a Mustang. His versatility will help him see a lot of the field.

Taylor Ford - Taylor is a sophomore player from Wallsburg UT and Wasatch High School. Taylor is a very strong player who usually plays on the outside of the midfield. He played in every half of every match last season and scored 3 goals. We expect great things from Taylor. (Taylor is #12 in the black jersey)

Gilbert Gonzalez - A forward/midfield who is a local product from Rock Springs WY and Rock Springs High. Gilbert had a record breaking career while at RSHS. He will be called on to provide some offense this fall. Gilbert was a 1st team all-state selection in WY. (Gilbert is in white jersey in picture)

Mika Goodman - A keeper and a forward who hails from Springville UT and was a recent graduate from Springville High School. Mika will be called on to fight for the starting position with the club when we start training. Mika has the skills to be very successful at WWCC. (Mika is keeper in yellow jersey in picture)

Braxton Hamilton - Braxton is from Riverton WY and graduated from Riverton High School. Braxton plays a forward/outside midfield. Braxton led his high school to the 2009 WY State Cup. He brings a lot of energy and passion for the game, he will fit in well at WWCC. (Braxton is pictured scoring in white jersey)

Kyle Howe - Kyle is a returning player from the 2008 team. Kyle mainly played defense last season. Kyle is from Rock Springs WY and a 2008 RSHS graduate. Kyle is a great competitor and we expect him to be a regular starter and a leader for the team. (Kyle is in red jersey #4 in picture)

Omar Jaimes - Omar started 20 matches last year for WWCC. He had a great season as a freshman. He graduated from Hunter High in 2008 and is from West Valley City UT. Omar is expected to step up his game and help us have another great season this fall.

Joe Lake - Joe will be a freshman this fall at WWCC. Joe is a forward/midfield that has a ton of experience playing both positions. Joe is from Bountiful UT and graduated from Bountiful High School. Joe will be looked to create and finish many chances for the 2009 Mustangs. (Joe is in the Red jersey in the picture)

Erick Mata - Erick is an outside midfielder who recently graduated from Rock Spring High in Rock Springs WY. Erick is a very speedy player with the ability to score from the wing. Erick was recently honored as a 1st team All Region Player his senior year. (Erick is #9 in picture)

Colter Miller - Colter is from Upton WY and a recent graduate of Campbell County High School. Colter is a defender and guided his team to a consolation championship finish at the 2009 WY State Cup. Colter was also honored as a 1st Team All State player.

Cody Rall - Cody is a defender from Rock Springs WY and RSHS. Cody is a tall physical presence on the field with a great kick. He will be looked at to play on the center of the defense and look to use his skills to benefit the Mustangs. Cody was a 1st Team All Region Player. (Cody in black jersey in picture)

Jordan Ross - Jordan is a defender from Farmington Utah and a 2009 Davis High graduate. Jordan is a very capable and solid defender as he has proven both on the pitch for his high school team and his club team. Jordan should be able to fit into the WWCC back line well and make a big splash as a Mustang.

Kyle Seljaas - Kyle is a midfielder/forward from Bountiful High. Kyle is from Bountiful UT. Kyle is a very versatile player who helped his team in many positions this spring when they were depleted with injuries. We will look to Kyle to be a big contributor for WWCC. (Kyle #10 in picture)

Taylor Whetman - Taylor is a goal keeper from Kearns High School in Kearsn UT. Taylor was a four year starter for his high school team. His skills within the woodwork were good enough for him to be named as a All-Region Player in 2009. He could be an immediate contributor to the Mustangs.
